Lewis lives and studies in the Mountain West; his primary interests are wildlife management, specifically ways in which humans, industries, and animals can share and use lands sustainably in the plains of the western United States and the New World tropics. He also has research interests in ornithology, computational biology, bioacoustics, and tropical ecology.
