Michael Hunger heads product innovation and developer strategy at Neo4j, with a passion for software development spanning more than 35 years. For the last 13 years, he has held various leadership roles within the company crossing open source, all aspects of Neo4j’s graph database and analytics, graph-related projects, users, and contributors. His work also includes generative AI, cloud integrations, and developer experience. As a developer, Michael thrives on programming languages, learning new things every day, participating in exciting and ambitious open-source projects, and contributing and writing software-related books and articles. He speaks and organizes numerous conferences, which has included the Java Champions program. Michael also helps kids to learn to program by running weekly girls-only coding classes at local schools. He is based in Germany.
