Bianca Tamayo is a Staff Software Engineer at Cruise, based in San Francisco. She has a broad range of experience, including full-stack application development, backend services, release and deployment, and platform engineering. Bianca values well-designed products and believes that code, processes, and tooling are all products that benefit from meticulous design and thoughtful craftsmanship. Bianca's passion lies in developing systems that simplify developers' daily lives. While at Tesla, she streamlined the CI/CD system for service releases, including spearheading the adoption of Docker. Today, she continues to lead efforts for tooling and services in the AV space at Cruise. Outside of work, Bianca enjoys volunteering with animal welfare organizations and is a foster parent for rescue dogs. Her current favorite hobby is learning how to cook various dishes from her native Philippines.
