Docker Desktop includes experimental support for a few WebAssembly runtimes. In this session, Matt will first introduce WebAssembly and talk about why its design characteristics make it a great complement to container technologies. Then Matt will walk through the process of building a serverless-style app with the open source [Spin](https://github.com/fermyon/spin) tool and then package and run it inside of Docker Desktop. Matt will show how containers and Wasm can run side-by-side to build high-performance serverless apps backed by traditional data services in containers.
